Club Registration Form
Use this form to register your club for the crossing.  When you fill out this form it will come to me through e-mail automatically.

Also:

I have been asked to come up with an individual club membership application & current club member's, crossing participation form.
Individual's Club Membership Application &
 Current Club Member's Crossing Application

The above application is for individuals to use.  Apply to a club for membership or if you already belong to a club, use it to tell your club you want to be entered in the Mackinac
Bridge Crossing Parade & Show.  It's generic in nature and your club may require something totally different.  Hand this form into the club you already belong to or the club you wish to join.  Do not send it to me.

May 10, 2008.   Great News:

I apologize for the delay in updates. Between being very busy at the store, my laptop computer breaking down, all the calls about the crossing, the e-mails, our add for the MMOGTA magazine, picking up tractors for repair and preparation for the event have slowed my down just a little.  I’m back on track and have very good news.   Art work for the hats, shirts etc is just about done so you can order your official bridge crossing apparel soon on our web site.  Early orders will be taken on line and apparel will be offered at the Casino show grounds during the event.

So many people have asked me about RFD-TV.  I have been working on this for a while but you have to understand that Max Armstrong of RFD-TV is a very, very busy man.  Well, here is what so many of you have been waiting for. NEWS:::  RFD-TV’s Max Armstrong tells me they will be there for the official, video taping of the event and they will offer the cd’s for sale when production is done.  What that means is that you will get full coverage of your event by a professional company that knows how to do this type of event.   Many of you either know Max Armstrong personally or you have seen him on TV so you know they will do a great job recording your event.

More Good News:

We also have an official photographer set up for still photo’s of you coming off the bridge on your tractor or in your truck and at the showing.

There is ample parking in both Mackinac city and St. Ignace for your rigs.  We have secured 70 acres of parking area near Mackinaw City and we are working on more parking in St. Ignace.  When the time comes your club will be assigned where to park so you are all together in one area.  Clubs will not be allowed to split up during the initial parking.  You must park with your club to help keep the event organized for the parade.  Further details will come to you as things progress.

Please be patient with us during the organization of this event.  As far as I’m concerned things are moving along very smooth so far, just how we like it.

I’ll keep you informed as the event moves along so stay tuned.

Thanks to all of you who have made this historic event possible.

April 30, 2008  25 Clubs have registered., over 600 tractors, 17 trucks with trailers participating so far.

Update:

At this time the official time of the parade is going to be 2:00pm. We will start our parade through Mackinaw City and then onto the bridge.  The actual bridge crossing time for right now is still 3:00pm.  Because of the number of tractors crossing we wanted to start the actual parade earlier to give us more time to cross the bridge.  Stay tuned for any time changes.

Thanks for your time.

April 19, 2008

There are now 22 Clubs signed up to cross the Mackinac Bridge in September.

The All Color club in Williamston has just added tractor number 100 to the bridge crossing.

Thanks to everyone who is participating.

There is still time for your club to join the parade/show across the Mackinac Bridge.  I would like to see more clubs get signed up so we have a ways to go. Get your club on board and have a great time.

If you have any questions please call or e-mail us.
Thanks for your time.

Updated April 8, 2008
  ATTENTION:

If your club is going we need to know ASAP
A more accurate number is required before my next meeting with the
Mackinac Bridge Authority in early April.
Thank you for your prompt response.

We have 20 registered clubs and we are at 500 tractors and rigs, so let's get some more clubs on board.   I have talked to quite a few clubs that say they are going but have not yet registered.  A cut off date is coming soon.  This information note preceeds all other notes on the event and we want to see your club join.

Thanks for your support and the positive e-mail's.
I really appreciate them.
Bob

Update: March 20th, 2008

Nostalgie Productions needs to be given a big hand for making this possible.   Be sure to visit their web site for events and happenings in St. Ignace, their beautiful city.   If you are interested in the truck parade on Saturday evening this is where you need to look.
http://www.nostalgia-prod.com/

There are many things happening behind the scene to make this event run as smooth as possible and the number of people helping with this event is climbing.  An event this big is too much for one person and as the event unfolds I have asked for the assistance of some devoted, hard working and great people.  For right now we are doing just fine and appreciate all the offers to assist us, but don't stop offering.  You may never know when we will need your help.

Remember this information.
Registered clubs and their members only.
Tractors minimum road speed 10 mph
No people movers.
Only the rider on the tractor
Trucks with trailers hauling equipment OK, no rider's on the trailer or equipment.
Must be 18 years of age or older to cross the bridge driving a tractor.

These are some of the rules that made this event possible. For a complete list of rules and regulations, check out:

Update: March 4-8, 2008

Not much new to add except we are approaching 300 tractors at this time.  Keep e-mailing those questions and please fill out the club registration form and forward it.. You can register and update your club information up to
July 4, 2008.  This is a tentative date for club registration forms to be handed in.  After that we may not take anymore club registrations.  We need time to set up parking in Mackinaw City based on the number of tractors in each club.

A lot of clubs have e-mailed me about the crossing and said they are participating but they are not sending in their club registration.  Please encourage them to do so.  You can update your registration as you add participants..

Thanks for your time.

Update February 20, 2008

As you can see, clubs are sending in their registration forms as required. A disclaimer form from your club will be required along with proof of liability insurance.  The form will be posted as soon as I receive it from my agent.

Insurance:
Jacobs Insurance Agency, Inc.,  in Owosso, MI has been our insurance agent for several years.  Gary Jacobs has informed me that if your club is looking for insurance to cover your club for the bridge crossing, he will be glad to assist your club with one day or more coverage.
Contact Gary Jacobs at: 989-725-7117 or click here for more information.

Thanks again for all those participating.

Update: February 6, 2008

Nothing new to add at this time except that my phone has been ringing off the hook at work the last couple of days.  Sounds like the word is out.  I have had calls from all over Michigan. Also others are telling me they have calls from Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Missouri and other states.  Sounds like we are going to have plenty of company. I do have some updates to post but since my computer gave me troubles the last few days and I finally got it all fixed and running correctly tonight. Unfortunately it was my e-mail that was affected the most. So, if you e-mailed me and you didn't get an answer, please e-mail me again.  I return phone calls and e-mail back those who e-mail me.

Thanks again to all of you.
Bob.

Updated: Tuesday, January 30, 2008

Hello everyone:

New:  Club Registration Form
&

Individual's Club Membership Application &
 Current Club Member's Crossing Application

Welcome to Bob's Notes:

Here you will find club's participating in the bridge crossing and some short notes from me just to keep you informed.  New items today include the Club registration form and Individual's application form. Read the lower left column of this page for details or just click the forms to see which one applies to you and your club.

As you can see from the list it is rather short at this time.  However we have already met our lowest figure of 100 tractors that we promised the Mackinac Bridge Authority and at this time there is NOT a limit on the number of tractors to cross so let's get the registration forms coming to me ASAP.  How about 1,000 tractors.  Can we do it.  I'm quite sure it's possible so please get the word out.

I have placed an ad in the Michigan Farm Trader for Februarys' issue to get the word out across the state. A lot of people have told me they are coming but their clubs has not yet contacted me.  Please have them do so ASAP.

Club registration is required to cross so join a club if you haven't done so already.

Get your hotel reservations now. Rooms are going fast and I heard the Casino Hotel is already full but call to make sure.

Thank you all for your support of this great event. It's not just a bridge your  crossing it's history in the making so let yourself and your club be counted.

All will have a great time and take home a ton of memories.

I would also like to say a big thanks to the Mackinac Bridge Authority for making this possible.

Sincerely
Bob Baumgras
